I entered this industry in 2003 at Osaka. At that time, I was still a rookie and trying hard to learn how to work with others. It took me about 3 years to start feeling comfortable about my work. That’s when I had the opportunity to be a part of Madonna’s world tour. I was so impressed by the production and the mechanic that I had never seen in my life and surely opened the door. In 2007, I decided to move to Tokyo for larger roles, and based on the experience of directing, stage design, and props that I got absorbed in at that time, I would like to provide more precise “entertainment”. I think that’s what connected to the current vision of Wady pursuing to create. Even if the production is good, it will give a bad impression to artists /crew and everyone involved if the stage design and mechanism are not good enough. That’s why I think it is essentially important to improve to use creativity accurately.
The “entertainment” I felt when I first took part at the Madonna World Tour was simply amazing.
I can now hear what each department want to accomplish and connect with people better only because I ‘ve learned from my mistakes. Most importantly I am enjoying what I do.
Most of the projects do not have the same production, and we need to create something new each time. It’s important to be “interesting!” but there are a lot of factors to be considered such as deadline, budget, requests, operation of each department, and safety. Among them, I always set my goals high at 120%, and I think that builds professional team that can share and give those results, which supports Wady’s present backbone. Every project comes with a great deal of responsibility and risk, so people tend to settle with a safer option. However, that’s not ME. That kind of mentality won’t take us anywhere. Our work needs to be constructively discussed and planned to achieve our goal to 120%. And that’s the mindset of how I want my team to have. When a tough project comes up, I’m pleased to hear from the clients saying “Let’s ask Wady! Wady will do something for you! ” and thats exactly how I feel and committed. I always put up an antenna, constantly input new informations, strengthen the team, and make 120% effort. Creating entertainment by utilizing the power of “Art production” in any genre. Wady wants to grow as a group of professionals who continue to make such efforts.
